Changes to shelter and facilities on Peckham Rye platforms

Send by email PDF version

Southern Rail have announced that work is about to start at Peckham Rye station to remove the existing shelters on Platforms 1 & 2 to replace them with a different kind. This is to make room for more passengers after the East London Line arrives on 9 December 2012.

Time will tell whether these new shelters give enough protection from the bad weather experienced on those platforms. Also a small waiting room is to be created on Platform 3 (not part of, but next to, the historic Old Waiting Room), and new toilets are being provided on platform 4.
