No sense in train cuts

RESIDENTS of Camberwell who use Denmark Hill railway station to travel direct to London Bridge and Victoria are to face considerably reduced services. An improved service between these destinations, rather than a reduced one, is what is needed.
Denmark Hill is a vital link for many people travelling to King’s College Hospital, as well as for many who commute daily from Camberwell to central London. For them, bus travel is not a suitable alternative.
Journey times are terribly long due to congestion on the roads at all times of the day.
Congestion here in Camberwell is especially bad because there are more cars than ever now on our roads since the introduction of the congestion charge. For many years there have been rumours that the plans to extend the Underground to Camberwell Green would finally be implemented, but in 24 years nothing has happened.
My husband and son, who, like many others, need to travel via London Bridge to get to work, will be considerably inconvenienced by the proposed cuts in services. It already takes them almost as long to travel in as it does commuters from 10 miles further out of London.
Surely this does not make sense.
