rail franchises - deadline 13 Sep - Victoria as well now

Send by email PDF version

The Thameslink franchise consultation has now been joined by the South Eastern franchise consultation:

The key thing to know is that together these will result in a new specification for all our services to Victoria, St Pancras and London Bridge up to 2018/20. What is needed right now is for as many users as possible of these services from Nunhead, Peckham, Camberwell, Dulwich & Bermondsey (all share some of the same services) to email in their views on what they want the services to be from their own station(s).

If you have already emailed to  thameslink@dft.gsi.gov.uk, and also use the Victoria service it is important to email again about the Victoria service to  southeastern@dft.gsi.gov.uk. If you mentioned the Victoria service in your original email you could now just send a copy to this additional consultation address - southeastern@dft.gsi.gov.uk.

If you have not already emailed about the Thameslink franchise, you can send a single email for both consultations to:
* thameslink@dft.gsi.gov.uk (St Pancras + London Bridge)
* southeastern@dft.gsi.gov.uk (Victoria)

The message to get across is the same in all cases - related to your own journeys and stations -
that off peak we need Tube-like regularity and frequencies, 7 days a week, direct to & from:

  • Victoria: 4 tph at Nunhead, Peckham Rye, Denmark Hill stations;
  • St Pancras (no change at Blackfriars): 4 tph at Nunhead, Peckham Rye, Denmark Hill stations;
  • London Bridge:  6 tph at North & East Dulwich, Peckham Rye, Queen's Rd Peckham, Sth Bermondsey stations.

(At peak hours some trains are full, so more trains per hour are needed. )

For what this means for each service, see leaflet at http://goo.gl/j3Qk5. If you can, please print out some leaflets to give to neighbours and fellow rail users.
